Sheltered from foreign influences and without tourism until , Bhutan holds an ancient charm and still restricts the number of visitors. The landscape is breath taking, from the snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas, to lush forests and verdant valleys. Buddhist monasteries cling to steep hillsides, in a place where time is measured by spinning prayer wheels. Trekking is the best way to enjoy the biodiversity of this wonderful country.

Hi, I am looking for a Buddhist centered tour of Bhutan , including monasteries, and other religious sites. Also interested in the art, culture and food. Can anyone recommend some good travel companies? There are many companies being recomended by the travellers on this recent topic, you can go through and write them. I have bought one from Nepal and another from Bhutan. I find Bhutan one is much better at comparable price. Unfortunately his name escapes me at the moment. I know of 2 monasteries where this can be arranged. One in Thimphu , another in Paro. You can arrange for meditation under the guidance of a Lama.
